talkSPORT 2

Dedicated to comprehensive sports coverage, talkSPORT 2 broadcasts across the United Kingdom primarily on national DAB digital radio. Launched on March 15, 2016, this station acts as a complementary channel to the main talkSPORT network, expanding the breadth of live sports commentaries and specialized programming available to listeners. It distinguishes itself by offering extensive coverage of a diverse array of athletic events, moving beyond a sole focus on football to include rugby, cricket, tennis, golf, horse racing, US sports, boxing, and motorsport.

Operated by News Broadcasting, a subsidiary of News UK, talkSPORT 2 offers a 24-hour schedule filled with live game action, expert analysis, and dedicated shows. Listeners can tune in for in-depth discussions on the latest cricket developments with programs like "Following On," or explore the world of racing and motorsport through specific broadcasts such as "On Track." The station’s programming often pre-empts regular news segments for live event coverage, displaying its commitment to delivering real-time sporting action. This approach provides a unique platform for sports enthusiasts seeking in-depth content and additional commentary that might not be available on other national commercial radio outlets.
