Sunrise Radio

London's airwaves feature a station dedicated to the UK's South Asian community, offering a blend of entertainment, music, and news. The station initially grew from the pirate station Sina Radio, established in 1984 in Southall.

Listeners across Greater London and the South East can tune in on 963 kHz and 972 kHz AM, while national coverage is available via DAB through the Sound Digital multiplex. Sunrise Radio's programming includes a diverse array of Bollywood and Bhangra music, alongside contemporary British Asian hits and talk shows relevant to the community. The station has been recognized with multiple "Radio Station of the Year" awards at the Asian Media Awards, celebrating its consistent contribution to British Asian culture for over three decades. Its schedule features various shows, including the "Breakfast Show" and "Drive Time Show," hosted by presenters like Shabnam Sahi and Sonia Dutta.
