KCRW

Public radio broadcasting from Santa Monica College operates as a community-supported member of National Public Radio. Programming includes a mix of independent music discovery, news reporting, and cultural talk shows. The station maintains a long-standing association with the Eclectic music format, featuring programs like Morning Becomes Eclectic. Beyond its flagship 89.9 FM signal in Los Angeles, the network utilizes a series of repeaters to reach listeners in Santa Barbara, San Diego, and the Palm Springs area.

Journalists produce daily segments covering California politics, social issues, and local arts coverage. The broadcast schedule includes live studio performances and syndicated programs sourced from NPR and other public media partners. Kcrw.com provides archives of past episodes and supplementary digital content for audiences outside the terrestrial reach. This organization relies on listener contributions to fund its operations and maintain its broadcast infrastructure across Southern California.
