WSOU

Broadcasting on 89.5 FM, this station operates as the non-commercial student-run radio outlet of Seton Hall University. The signal reaches listeners throughout the New York City metropolitan area and parts of northern New Jersey from its transmitter in West Orange.

Heavy metal and hard rock constitute the primary music format, which has remained a consistent programming pillar since the station adopted this specialty in 1986. Student staff members manage day-to-day operations, production, and airtime under the guidance of professional university leadership.

Beyond music, the station provides local news, sports coverage featuring university athletics, and specialized talk programs. Its studios reside on the Seton Hall campus in South Orange, where the organization trains students for careers in the media industry.
