Rock Antenne

Rock music and its subgenres form the core of this German radio network, which originated in Munich. Broadcasts reach audiences via DAB+ and cable throughout Germany, with a strong focus on classic rock, heavy metal, and alternative tracks. The station maintains a specialized focus on guitar-driven genres, often highlighting interviews with international artists and coverage of major rock festivals. Editorial content includes hourly news bulletins, weather, and traffic reports tailored for commuters across various federal states. Ownership rests with the Rock Antenne GmbH & Co. KG, which expanded the brand from its Bavarian roots to a nationwide audience. Regular programming features thematic segments such as "Tuff Stuff" or "Antenne Bayern-related" rock specials. Program schedules often prioritize listener-requested songs and exclusive first airings of new studio albums from rock legends and emerging bands.
