Radio Vitoria

Operating as a public service broadcaster within the Euskal Irrati Telebista (EITB) group, this station broadcasts from Vitoria-Gasteiz to the entire territory of Álava. Originally established in 1934 by Francisco Hernández Peña, it became the foundation for the Basque public broadcasting network following its acquisition by the regional government in 1982. Daily programming follows a generalist format, focusing on local political and economic news, sports coverage, and various cultural entertainment segments.

The current facilities, situated on the university campus in Vitoria, were modernized in 2000 and also house the bureau for the regional public television channel. Listeners primarily tune in on 104.1 FM within the provincial capital, with additional coverage provided by secondary frequencies such as 92.8 FM in Orduña. Through the eitb.eus domain, the station provides continuous broadcasts that emphasize regional identity and local community issues.
