Otec FM

Broadcasting across Kumasi and the wider Ashanti Region of Ghana, Otec FM delivers a comprehensive blend of news, current affairs, and cultural programming on 102.9 MHz FM. The station's on-air presence extends beyond the city's bustling streets to valleys and neighborhoods throughout the region, connecting with a broad audience through content presented in both English and Akan (Twi). Otec FM offers extensive coverage of local and national political discussions, current events, and community issues relevant to Ghanaian life.

Beyond informational talk, Otec FM's schedule incorporates vibrant sports commentary, focusing on regional football leagues and key international athletic events. Its music selection includes Ghanaian Highlife, Hiplife, and various contemporary African rhythms, often integrating gospel music segments. The station first officially began broadcasting as Otec 102.9FM in 1995, emerging as the very first private radio station in both the Ashanti Region and Ghana as a whole. The company behind the station, Oppong Twumasi Electronic Company Limited, also operates an electronics manufacturing division and a journalism school, providing crucial resources in both media and technical fields.
