egoFM

Indie, alternative, and electronic music define the programming output of this Munich-based broadcaster. Launched in 2008, the station targets an audience interested in non-mainstream tracks and lesser-known artists often overlooked by commercial radio. It holds a distinct broadcasting license that requires a specific quota of alternative musical content.

Listeners can access the signal via terrestrial FM frequencies in cities including Munich, Augsburg, Nuremberg, and Regensburg. The programming schedule features specialized slots such as 'egoFM Anspruchsvoll' and 'egoFM Musikwissen', which focus on artistic depth rather than chart performance. Digital distribution occurs through the official egofm.de domain, providing access to on-demand content and podcasts. Broadcasts occur primarily in German, with occasional English-language segments integrated into music programming blocks.
