Antenne AC

Serving the diverse Städteregion Aachen, Antenne AC is a prominent local radio station with its studios situated at Flugplatz Aachen-Merzbrück in Würselen. While its primary focus remains the communities around Aachen, including Stolberg, Monschau, and Simmerath, the station extends its reach via DAB+ on Channel 8B to listeners as far as Cologne and Düsseldorf. Antenne AC began broadcasting as the successor to 107.8 Antenne AC and Radio Aachen on November 18, 2010, though its origins trace back to December 7, 1991.

The station delivers eight hours of dedicated local programming on weekdays, featuring morning shows like "Antenne AC am Morgen" from 6 AM to 10 AM, and afternoon broadcasts between 2 PM and 6 PM. Listeners receive local news updates every half-hour from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM on weekdays, complemented by comprehensive traffic and weather reports for the region. Antenne AC is known for its blend of current pop and hit music, alongside specific webchannels focusing on genres such as 80s, 90s, Schlager, and Rock. A unique aspect of its schedule is the daily Bürgerfunk, or citizen radio, segment broadcast in the evenings, offering community-produced content like "Radio Ragazzi" for children and "Oche Alaaf" for Aachen Carnival enthusiasts. The station maintains a strong local presence, partnering with regional events like the CHIO Aachen and covering Alemannia Aachen football matches.
