Z99 Regina (Zed 99)

Transmitting on 98.9 MHz FM, Z99 Regina has been a consistent presence on Regina's airwaves since its launch in 1982. The station, known as CIZL-FM, initially featured a modern rock format before evolving to its current Contemporary Hit Radio and Hot Adult Contemporary sound. It delivers a playlist primarily focused on top 40 and pop music, including current hits from popular artists. Z99 maintains its studios at 2401 Saskatchewan Drive in Regina, sharing facilities with sister stations. The station is deeply integrated into the community, notably through its annual Z99 Radiothon. This charity event supports the neonatal intensive care unit at Regina General Hospital, having raised over $12.8 million to date. Long-time morning hosts CC and Lorie co-anchored the popular show for 32 years before their retirement in 2021, a significant run in Canadian radio history. The station's branding as "Regina's #1 Hit Music Station" reflects its commitment to contemporary popular music trends.
