Mandarin Chinese talk and Spanish Christian messages fill the airwaves across the busy avenues of Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens through a single AM frequency. This station delivers targeted audio services to immigrant communities in the New York metropolitan area, Long Island, and parts of New Jersey and Connecticut. Throughout the workweek, the schedule features Mandarin-language news, talk shows, and financial updates. When Saturday arrives, the signal shifts its focus to Spanish-language religious content, health shows, and legal advice.

Listeners tune in via the 1380 AM dial position, which utilizes a transmitter in Carlstadt, New Jersey. The signal power varies, using 5,000 watts during daylight hours and increasing to 13,000 watts after sunset. For digital listeners, the website wkdm1380am.com provides an online portal for live streams and community announcements. Tracing its lineage back to 1926 under different call letters, the station has adapted its format over the decades to fit the changing demographics of the city.
