Tilos Jazz Rádió

Jazz and improvisational music define the primary output of this Budapest-based station. Operating as a specialized digital channel under the Tilos Rádió brand, it focuses on delivering instrumental compositions and vocal jazz standards without commercial interruptions. The station utilizes the web-based infrastructure of its parent organization, tilos.hu, to reach listeners interested in non-mainstream musical formats. Broadcasts consist of archival recordings, contemporary jazz releases, and selected sessions that prioritize artistic expression over chart-oriented production. Listeners encounter a consistent stream of bebop, fusion, and avant-garde pieces throughout the daily schedule. Program schedules are often integrated into the broader media framework of the station's parent group, which holds a long-standing history in Hungarian independent broadcasting since the early 1990s. The station maintains a commitment to preserving specific subgenres that often receive limited exposure on terrestrial commercial frequencies.
