RTL

Broadcasting nationally across France on a network of FM frequencies, including 104.3 MHz in Paris and Nantes, and 105.1 MHz in Bordeaux, RTL is a prominent commercial radio station. Established in 1933 as Radio Luxembourg, it began its national French broadcasts in 1981 after private radio operations were permitted in the country. Owned by the RTL Group through Groupe M6, the station offers a blend of news, talk, and diverse music programming.

Its programming schedule dedicates approximately half of its airtime to information and current affairs, featuring a team of respected journalists. Signature programs include "RTL Matin," a popular weekday morning news show, and "Les Grosses Têtes," a long-running daily talk show first aired in 1977. RTL also reaches listeners in Francophone Belgium and Luxembourg. While known for its widespread FM presence, the station discontinued its longwave broadcasts on 234 kHz in January 2023.
