RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta

Broadcasting exclusively in the Irish language, this national service provides comprehensive coverage of events within Gaeltacht regions and across Ireland. Established in 1972, the station maintains regional studios in Connemara, Kerry, Donegal, and Mayo, while managing its central administrative operations from Dublin. Programming focuses on news, current affairs, traditional music, and extensive sports coverage tailored to Irish-speaking communities.

Listeners encounter specialized broadcasts such as Adhmhaidin for morning news and Barrscéalta for daily discourse. The network utilizes a national FM transmitter infrastructure to reach audiences throughout the country, supplemented by digital platforms including rte.ie/radio/rnag/shows/. Content regularly highlights linguistic preservation efforts and local issues affecting rural Irish-speaking districts.
