Rotana Tarab

Broadcasting from the capital city of Amman, this station specializes in the traditional 'Tarab' musical style, which emphasizes vocal proficiency and classical Arabic melodies. The programming highlights legendary performers from the golden era of Arabic music, including works by celebrated singers such as Umm Kulthum and Fairuz, alongside contemporary compositions that adhere to similar artistic foundations. It operates on the 107.5 FM frequency within the Amman Governorate. Unlike broader commercial stations, the content focuses on preserving instrumental and vocal mastery, featuring deep explorations of Oriental scales and improvisation techniques. Listeners can access the broadcast via the official website, alkawn.com.jo, which acts as the digital portal for the station's media portfolio. The station is managed by Al Kawn, which oversees media representation for various entities within the Arabia Group in Jordan. By dedicating its schedule to this specific artistic genre, the broadcast provides a focused alternative for audiences seeking traditional aesthetic expressions in a modern broadcasting landscape.
