RAI Gr Parlamento

Dedicated to providing an extensive overview of Italy's political proceedings, RAI Gr Parlamento offers comprehensive coverage of the nation's legislative activities. The channel primarily broadcasts live and delayed transmissions from the Italian Parliament, encompassing sessions from both the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate, alongside various parliamentary committees. Beyond direct legislative reporting, its programming schedule integrates analytical segments like "Il Punto" for daily parliamentary recaps and "Le Interviste di GRP" featuring discussions with political figures. Listeners can also find specialized series, such as "Geoparlamento," exploring international policy angles. Launched in early 1998, this public service channel was established by an Italian state law to ensure greater transparency and democratic oversight of institutional activities. While primarily focused on political discourse, during non-political hours, typically from 9 PM to 7 AM, the channel extends its programming by relaying Italian music from Rai Radio Tutta Italiana. This ensures a continuous broadcast, providing listeners across Italy, including key regions like Lazio on frequencies such as 99.3 MHz, with relevant information and cultural content. The channel became an autonomous editorial unit in 2006, enhancing its specialized focus on legislative reporting.
