Radio 1

Established by media entrepreneur Roger Schawinski in 2008, this station targets an adult demographic within the greater Zurich area. Programming emphasizes a high proportion of spoken content, including hourly news bulletins and reports on business and politics. The musical selection focuses on classic rock and pop tracks spanning the 1970s through the 1990s.

The broadcaster transmits on FM frequencies 93.0 MHz, 96.7 MHz, and 98.4 MHz. Its studios and administrative offices are located on Hottingerstrasse in Zurich. Beyond the linear broadcast, the website radio1.ch provides several themed digital audio channels. The editorial approach deliberately avoids heavy rotation of limited playlists, prioritizing a broader musical selection for a mature listener base.
