LMFM

One of the original 24 independent local stations licensed under Ireland's 1988 Radio and Television Act, LMFM began broadcasting in 1989, effectively ending the national broadcaster RTÉ's monopoly. Operating primarily on frequencies such as 95.8 FM and 96.5 FM, the station provides a comprehensive service to counties Louth and Meath, extending its listenership significantly into Dublin, Kildare, Cavan, Monaghan, and Armagh in Northern Ireland. Its programming blends adult contemporary music with a strong emphasis on local news, current affairs, and regional sports coverage, particularly Gaelic Games. Notable shows include "The Breakfast Show with Chris Murray," "The Agenda with Adrian Kennedy," and "The Late Lunch with Gerry Kelly," which deliver a mix of engaging talk and popular music. The station is committed to developing local talent, actively discovering and promoting new Irish bands and artists each month.
