Laluna

Located on Lithuania's Baltic Sea coast, Klaipėda enjoys a unique sonic identity largely shaped by Laluna, a local radio station on 94.9 FM that has become an integral part of the city's daily rhythm. Since launching on August 25, 1995, with The Pogues' "Fiesta" as its very first track, the station has continuously delivered a vibrant blend of popular music, including contemporary hits and beloved classics, reaching listeners within a 70-kilometer radius around Klaipėda. Laluna is also recognized for its dedication to local relevance, offering a constant stream of news pertinent to the Klaipėda region, keeping residents informed about their community. Beyond music and news, the station features diverse programming such as "Gyventi gera" (Life is Good) and "Ant Bangos" (On the Wave), alongside other shows designed to entertain and engage its audience throughout the day and night. Its commitment to innovative broadcasting was showcased early on with Lithuania's first non-studio broadcast, a 100-hour marathon from Klaipėda's Theater Square for its third anniversary, further cementing its connection to the city's cultural landscape.
