KAN GIMMEL

Operating as the primary national outlet for Israeli music, this station broadcasts exclusively in Hebrew. It functions under the umbrella of the Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation. Listeners access content via a nationwide network of FM transmitters, including 105.0 FM in Jerusalem and 97.8 FM in Haifa. The programming strategy mandates a playlist comprised entirely of domestic artists, ranging from historical classics to contemporary pop and rock productions.

Daily schedules incorporate specialized shows that examine specific eras of Hebrew music, often featuring archival recordings. The official website kan.org.il provides access to live broadcasts and on-demand segments regarding local artist biographies. Production studios are located in Jerusalem, with administrative coordination handled through the national public media infrastructure.
