CRo Plus

Departing from the standard music-heavy formats prevalent in Czech radio, this station provides a dedicated space for thorough analytical journalism and opinion-based programming. It avoids musical interludes entirely, focusing instead on four central pillars: politics, society, business, and science. The station frequently interprets current events through historical and cultural lenses, providing listeners with a detailed perspective often missing in fast-paced commercial broadcasts.

Initiated on March 1, 2013, the channel emerged as a replacement for three legacy services, establishing a platform for intensive discussion and long-form commentary. Access is provided nationwide through a digital DAB+ multiplex and select FM frequencies, including 92.6 MHz in Prague. Programming hours expanded rapidly in its first year, evolving into a continuous 24-hour cycle of information and debate. It targets a demographic of listeners aged 35 and older who prioritize depth of coverage over standard hourly news cycles. Content is anchored at the official website, plus.rozhlas.cz.
