CJOB

Broadcasting from the 680 AM frequency in Winnipeg, Manitoba, this station provides news and talk programming to residents across Southern Manitoba. Originally launched on March 11, 1946, by founder John Oliver "Jack" Blick, the station has spent nearly eight decades shaping the local media landscape. It maintains a 50,000-watt signal, the maximum power permitted for Canadian AM stations, allowing it to cover a vast geographic area thanks to the flat terrain of the region.

The station is currently owned by Corus Entertainment and maintains its studios at 201 Portage Avenue in the downtown core. Listeners access a consistent stream of regional news, sports coverage, and talk-based segments that address community issues and global affairs. In addition to its daily talk schedule, the station is known for its long-standing affiliations with provincial sports organizations, including the Winnipeg Jets and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
