AraBel FM

Brussels media landscape is characterized by a high density of commercial outlets, yet this station maintains a distinct identity by prioritizing intercultural dialogue and Arab-Belgian relations. While peers emphasize mainstream chart hits, this broadcaster commits its airwaves to music from the Maghreb and the Middle East, balanced with programs exploring civic life in the Belgian capital. Regular listeners find a combination of Raï, Chaâbi, and contemporary world music alongside talk segments addressing local social issues. The station operates on the 106.8 FM frequency within the Brussels-Capital Region. Its digital presence at arabel.fm provides archives of cultural programming and community-focused interviews. By focusing on the integration of Arabic culture into the local Belgian fabric, it occupies a specific niche that differentiates it from the city's broader pop-centric radio environment.
