6IX 105.7 FM

A distinctive soundscape of classic hits and oldies defines 6IX 105.7 FM, serving listeners in Rockingham and the surrounding southern suburbs of Perth. This station, broadcasting on the 105.7 MHz FM repeater frequency, extends the legacy of 6IX, which first hit the Western Australian airwaves on November 27, 1933. Known for its "Forever Classics," the station curates a selection of music primarily from the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s. Beyond its Rockingham presence, 6IX also reaches listeners across the broader Perth metropolitan area on its primary 1080 AM frequency and via DAB+ digital radio. Programming includes local personalities such as John Burgess, who hosts weekend morning shows, and Dean Clairs with "Clairsy's Classic Countdown" during weekday afternoons. The station also features "30 Minute Music Marathons" throughout the day, offering extended periods of uninterrupted classic tracks. This dedication to a specific musical era has positioned 6IX as a prominent choice for listeners aged 65 and over in Perth.
