Legends of Charlemagne (Version 2) by Thomas Bulfinch (1796 - 1867)

This study of Charlemagne is directed at the general literature reading public. Although the author tried to remain true to the legend and mythology surrounding the King of the Franks, renowned for uniting much of Europe, he points out that this is not a scholastic work for serious study, but rather to be read for enjoyment. - Summary by Lynne Thompson
